Today, January 19th, Pluto and the Sun join at the absolute final degree of Capricorn, 29.59 degrees. Together they illuminate the plutonian work at hand since 2008, when Pluto first entered the sign of the sea-goat. This is a day of reflection, a look at the house where Pluto has resided for the last 16 years and ask what there was challenged, provoked, transmuted, and emerged? Pluto has a way of sifting through hidden material, extracting and drawing to the surface, and disposing of that which corrupts, poisons, and controls. This isn’t a benefic planet that just plucks it out and disposes it neatly in the appropriate waste bin, but drags it forward out of the dark and into the light. It makes you circle the toxic sludge, turns it over and over, so you can see view all sides, all perspectives. You get intimate with it, it calls out your own shadows, your own dark poison, and together, if you are paying attention, draws forth the perfect potion for transmutation. Today we reflect and remember the trials, the challenges, the power lost and the power gained. We hold this with a sacred embrace and whisper a prayer of gratitude. Grateful for the darkness that helped us grow into the eyes that read these very words. We have purged that which sought to eat our own power, and our own power was humbled by that which was never ours to begin with. 

The Sun sanitizes the grounds Hades has treaded, and brings a personal sense of peace and renewal in the home of Capricorn. It may not be perfect, we aren’t aiming for perfection but a healthier way of engaging.

Tomorrow, both the Sun and Pluto drift into fixed air space of Aquarius. The Sun enters Aquarius at 9:08 am est and Pluto has an evening presence at 7:56 pm est. This begins a twenty year cycle in more lofty visions and dream spaces. Pluto is establishing new lands to furrow, till and harvest. Set your intentions today to what it is you truly want to clear and make space for, especially related to your Aquarian house. This year, 2024 allows for ambient dreams of great works, once we move into 2025 all players will be fully engaged in the game.
